Default Pull an axel, shouldn't transmission fluid come out??

I pulled an axel on my manual transmission 95 teg recently and no fluid came out. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought tranny fluid would come out. Is my tranny not full or is that normal?

Shouldnt passenger side leak out?

The fill hole is above the low point of the axle hole isnt it?

Have I been draining all these trannies for no reason??

That would be nice. My brother-in-law is freaking out because he say's "Your car doesn't roll backward when you have it in reverse with the clutch pressed."

I felt like saying "Duh" but let him freak out.

If you have the correct amount of fluid in there, it should leak out. Quite a lot at first too.

On all the axle repairs/swaps I did (not just Hondas either), fluid has come out. Except for my car, where I know the fluid was crazy low, but I was too lazy to fill up.

Just put some more in after you get everything back in there. Being a little low won't kill anything. It's not like your motor being low on oil.

If you jack up only the front passenger side of the car, you can get the axle out w/o having to drain the tranny. Likewise for the driver side if you take out the halfshaft, and jack up only the front left corner of the car.

Hmm. . . Mine didn't come out when I took out my axels. ****, I guess mine was really low.
