How to make my car faster then a CIVIC Hatch with a B18C5 Please help
Well i raced a b18c5 in a civic hatch and it smoked the **** out of me. Someone said my car will never be that fast.
I have a integra 1999 GSR and im just wondering why i would never be that fast.. if i could how do i do it? Another kid said its cause my car is really heavy.
What kind of swap do i need to put in my car to be faster. All i know is he had a good 4-6 cars on me after 2nd gear

Ok, at the stop sign 2 lanes.
its at least a quarter mile cause i got up to 90 mph.
We had a kid flag it. He flaged and i got the better start i had a car for 1st gear. Then it was all over. His little hatch was screaming by me. Then he put on his emergency blinkers to show that he won.
I had the better start for sure. Probably the best runs ive ever done.

but gsrs are already high compression so running a turbo youll only be able to get 8-9 psi on stock stuff.

Depends on the tuning and how daring you want to get. There are people who do more than 8-9 psi on stock engines and they're running just fine. Tuning is the key

dude, in case you didn't know. that's normal.
EG hatches with DOHC VTEC swaps are ridiculously fast for all-motor.
ITR eg's can run like high 13's to low 14's..
I think for a DC2 like yours, it would take some serious weight reduction and mods to keep up..
Or a turbo kit.

you asked how you can get faster than him but then your semi-contradicting yourself with than he'll just get something better.

why are u even wondering why you lost
you can have the same integra typr r motor in your car and he will still beat you by a whole lot because his car is much lighter than yours
your will need close to 190- 200whp to be as fast as a c5 in a cx hatch
a setup like mine will probably beat him.
integras are not drag cars
if u want to go fast in a straight buy a crx or a civic hatch.
a civic will always have a huge advantage over an integra when it comes to drag racing.

you lost, haha did you even think you will win the hatch with a b18c5 and you have a GSR with what mods? well you can beat him really easily, go get a bottle(nitrous setup), or go with a blower(turbo setup). And if you get the turbo, go from a roll, just to make it easier on you. Not sure about nitrous. But yeah, dish out 2000-4000 and boost 5-7 psi and you should be able to beat him. Shoot you can probably do it with fmu instead of stand alone, and you won't have to waste money on dyno, but that would be the smartest thing to do.

there is a crx with a built itr motor plus a 75 shot. this guy is running high 12's in colorado! sorry to say he just got his *** smoked by a supercharged grand prix gtp with a 125 shot. it was a bad *** race.

dude if you are on a budget (and want a quick fix), just install a nitrous express kit w/ 75 shot and you will hold up pretty good (pending on how you drive) back when i had my kit on my 97 gsr i ran like mid 13s...but if you got the cash definitely go TURBO
