Not all Honda seats are made by recaro right?

I am finding out right now. I sent them an email, they are going to send me a list of all seats made for Honda by them, if they have the information. But I know for a fact, that right now the only two seats Recaro makes for Honda are the Integra Type R SRs (they are not SRD), and the Accord Type R ( based on the Sport).
And the person I talked to said that the only seats made by Recaro for Honda are special models, so MAYBE the SiRs, and the VTis, but in general, no Honda seats aren't Recaros.

Also the older CRX SI seats are Recaro made as well.
Until I see some solid proof, I don't believe all of them are made by Recaro for one second. I even had the skins halfway off of my Sols and didn't see one Recaro marking.

It's been somewhat "common" knowledge that the 88-91 CR-X and Civic Si seats were made by Recaro.
I've heard this since I worked at a Honda dealership back in 1995 from all the mechanics, parts guys, etc.
Perhaps it's not more than one of those dealership "urban legends" or whatever, but that's what I've always heard.

If you have access to the parts catalog, you can check yourself, it has the part number and should have the manufacter, but according to Honda, and Recaro the ONLY seats made by Recaro for Honda are the Type R seats, not CRX, not Del Sol, none of them, only the Type Rs, everything else is made by Honda. Not even the VTi or SiR seats.

The rep at Honda I talked to said if you have the parts catalog, it should have the manufacturers name, if it doesn't, it is made by Honda/Acura. Then I called a couple Honda/Acura dealerships and spoke with people in the parts department, and had them bring up the seats, and they found nothing that would link them to Recaro ( this is both the CRX and the USDM Type R's(which are just recovered GSR seats)). They said they come from Honda manufacturing. Anyway, it should be a day or two before I get confirmation from Recaro on what seats they made for Honda, but the rep was pretty sure it was only the Type Rs.

I remember reading somwhere that the USDM ITR's just use the recaro material, but by no means is the seat a Recaro Seat. I could be wrong.....
CRX Si's had Recaro seats. I doubt US ITR's and Del Sol's are made by Recaro.
Also the new Si (EP3) seats are made by Recaro.

So, you're saying that a premiere seat maker, that is contracted out to make special seats for one model isn't going to be mentioned in Hondas brochures that even mention the positioning of the climate controls? Sorry dude, but that's funny And no they aren't made by Recaro, it is a misconception, as B18C5-EH2 said, an "Urban legend".

Oh, and the Recaro marketing rep from Recaro North America said they had NO seats for the American market, not CRX, not Acura Type Rs, none of them. The new Type R Civics have them, but not the Si. Like I said when the rep emails me, I'll post it, if someone can show some proof that the CRX came with Recaros then cool, but till then I am trusting Recaro.

Could be, but when i went to http://www.recaro.com I clicked the US flag and it brought me to that. But most sites the US flag can mean English only. For some reason I remember seeing a tag on a CRX seat or rail that said RECARO.
