I decided to get this header while I'm waiting for my DTR because I know people have wondered about it. I'm going to the Dyno this weekend to compare it to my best WHP of 181 with my old Spoon. Here are some pics of the ground clearance and welds etc... I'll also put some videos from the track event that's happening tonight

how much did you pay?? Let me know when you sell it. If its on par with the spoon and the price is reduced enough, I may be trading up my spoon for extra ground clearance

I'll definatley be letting it go way lower than you could get it new. It shouldn't be much longer till I get my DTR, then I'll sell this T1R.

Did you get the new Type One header? or the old one? I have the first one and it makes decent power. Good buy for what I paid for it

there's not enough info about these headers. Glad to know you're gonna dyno them back to back. Keep us posted.

http://bob123e.tripod.com/thegreatheadertest/ provides some good numbers for the T1R.

Just to chime in I have the first version on my R and the fitiment and quality is amazing. Welds are perfect, and it bolts up perfectly to the header bracket and cat.

Like he said...the same goes for the newest version. I can take more detailed pics if you'd like of fitment by the oil pan/tranny. But it is a quality piece. It is now turning a nice golden color from the heat

the response header...it is supposed to have better midrange power, which is good for street use ...i'm going to the dyno now, and should have the numbers up in a few hours

Hrmm, if the header turns a purplish color, doesn't it mean that it was dirty after installation. There is some sort of product to clean up the header after you install it so that it will eventually turn all gold instead of a nasty rash looking, purplish color. I'll run a search.
