Lovely. My clutch "digging into" my nice $400 flywheel.

Yes, this is perfectly normal for ceramic pucked clutches.
It's quite good in fact. The clutch will last basically forever......but not your flywheel.
I took a look at my flywheel after about 5K miles and there was like a 1mm groove in it already. The clutch disc still looked brand new.

Time to switch clutches then...

Haha. I was running a stock flywheel that was resurfaced once. I don't know about those aftermarket flywheels and what materials they are made of. Maybe they are stronger? I dunno, never had one.

The only thing that gives me a glimmer of hope for the fw is the material. The machine shop told me that the chromoly of the flywheel would far outlast the copper of the 6-puck.
So it's probably only half putting a huge freaking groove into it.

Ehh, don't worry. It's a small price to pay when you can shift like a madman and have instant engagement. I'd worry more about your dash falling on your lap when you shift than grooving your flywheel.
Seriously, every time I shifted hard, I thought the dash was literally going to rip out and land on my lap. Chirping 5th gear ownz j00!

Haha, no I didn't unscrew anything. I'm simply saying if you have ever driven with an unsprung pucked clutch and shifted hard, it SEEMS as if your dash will just fall off and land in your lap. Of course that's nearly impossible.
I did have my S-AFC break from the shifts though. It just stopped working, and I got it replaced by warranty.
After that, I mounted it on something that had a little give.
So therefore with an unsprung pucked clutch (i.e.: instant engagement) and near 300+ hp, it's pretty easy to chirp 5th gear. If I wanted to be obnoxious and make a scene, I could pretty much burn out half of 4th gear, and all of 1st thru 3rd.
