but the 5spd legend was RWD(FR) not FWD (FF) its a different tranny, my conclusion is that the nsx tranny would fit, they are both transverse layouts

HKS did make a (twin?) turbo V6 Accord. IIRC it was pretty mildly boosted, but it still fried the auto tranny after a while. I've never heard of an Accord V6 auto to manual conversion. The first Accord V6s, back on the 5th generation, were based on the original Acura Legend's (of the mid 80s) V6 and that car's 5 speed could probably be used on a 5G V6. I'm not sure what manual tranny would work on the late model V6s. I've heard either an NSX or even rarer Legend manual 6 speed tranny might work. Obviously either is going to be a very expensive endeavor, which is probably why there are no manual Accord V6s out there.

Ummmmm I think Legends have always been front wheel drive, starting with the 2.7L 161 hp transverse V6.

From what I understand the NXS trans will work. If you just want to go fast and hold upto alot more power, go with a Level10 trans.

This is a 3.0 V6 CL we built. It's on its 3rd trans and is gettin a Level10.

What on earth is a Level10 NXS transmission?
And why would a V6 CL eat up trannies? Must be majorly F/Ied?

Not a Level 10 NSX trans. If you want a manual, go with the NSX trans. If you just want a good auto trans for drag acing go with the Level 10.

I think the Legend's last year was 1995 and it was the 3.2 L V6, still front wheel drive, although the engine may have been longitudinal. When Honda makes a car that is not front wheel drive it is big news. As far as I know the only rear drivers the US has seen (and probably the only ones Honda has ever made) are the NSX and S2000. Of course there have been a few AWDs.

Oh, $6,500, for a V6 5 speed conversion? That's nothing.

No way you gonna get a manual v6 accord until the manual CL-S's come out and then that tranny will cost a pretty penny. There has never been a manual tranny made for the current v6 accord engines.

one could use the manual tranny from the nsx, all v6 honda motors are of the c-series design, and we know alot of things in the same engine families are interchangeable

oh really, I was not aware of that (Accord and NSX engines share the same block), sorry about the mis information.

However, I don't think the axles would line up witht the tranny and who knows what length axles you would need. You might need a new intermediate shaft as well.

The shift linkage would need to be fabricated or if you modified one from a manual accord. And then you'd need the ECU converted to a manual one.

If you wait for the CL 6 speed to come out, you could use most of the parts from that car if not all. It actually might not be that expensive because the CL is essentially and Accord.
