what rpm does vtec engage and what rpm does the dual butterfly open?

 

is the vtec at 4,400 rpm and the dual butterfly at 5,800 rpm

 

Close... 44 vtec, 57 IABs...

 

or is it 5,700-5,800 because the secondaries work off of vaccum right so it depends?

Except that I think high-revs with light throttle (say, cruising in 2nd gear) will delay those things.

Secondary intakes are operated by vacuum, but it's still the ECU which signals it to happen.

 

I swear my vtec x over feels and sounds right around 5600 on my p72 . Also with a skunk2 mani
