Default Why is my AEM fpr allowing fuel out of the vaccum port?

Well I am finishing up all the little quorks in the new motor and I noticed that my fuel pressure was like 3psi high. So I get my tools ready and pull the vaccum line to simulate WOT and fuel is coming out of the vaccum port on the regulator!

THIS SUCKS! Now I think I have found my idle problems because as soon as I took it off the idle jumped up (like it normaly should) and BOOM the idle steadys its way out .

But still I am confused as to why it would do that? Also what should I do? Does AEM garuntee there regulators? Because I really dont want to have to buy another one.

Hmmmm.......from what little I know on how FPR's are supposed to work, it seems like it shouldn't be physically possible for fuel to come out the vacuum port.

Sounds like it may have torn the diaphragm on the inside, but i'm no expert.

Thats what I was thinking. I almost **** my pants when I got fuel on me and saw it coming from the vaccum port. Its gotta be the diaphram...but this sucks causenow I gotta find a new one and thats justmore money down the drain.

Has anyone else ever had this problem with there AEM fpr before?

Do you have a spare OEM FPR sitting around? It should at least get you up and running for a while.

Are you only running the FPR, or something else to tune fuel by?

I broke my oem one that why I bought the AEM fuel rail and the pressure regulator
It was kind just an excuse to get them ...So I cant do that.

I wonder if anyother brands of fpr will work on the aem rail

Well I'll ship you one of my spare stock ones out, if you need one to get the car running.

Other's should work on the AEM rail, also. I have a spare B&M sitting at home, too, but I don't have the spring. You may be able to just use the stock FPR's spring.

BTW, I may be crankin my H23 VTEC up tonight. All I lack is the accessory belts, fillin w/ coolant, setting valve lash, wiring up VTEC, and finding one mystery plug before it should crank.

Getting it so I can DRIVE it is a whole different story, though..... ;(

Tell ya what: how about I trade you the stock FPR for the B&M FPR spring? Sound like a deal?
