Default i got scammed by turbojody, please read, you could be next

well i made a post late last night when i got the short block in that i bought from him running. He was basicaly lying to me about this short block right from the beginig, first there was damage on it that i was not told about and 3 stripped bolt holes. then hes tells me just slap your head on your good to go , well total time i ran this thing is about 6 miles on top of the socalled 500miles it had, so it turns out the noise is not piston slap but rod knock. so now i got to fix this and hope its not that bad, well this is bull $hit he sold it because it was fu@ked up and lyed about it. iam just trying to look out for fellow h-t rs

pardon my ignorance but what is "rod knock"?

u did take it to a machine shop or reputable mechanic before installation just to verify everything right? who did the installation?

rod knock is where the rod bearings are loose on the crankshaft do to failer, so the result is they knock because the oil dosent stay in the bearing any more. first i had 5 diffrint mechanics all honda certified listen to it and they all said the same thing. i then pulled the motor and sent it to a engine builder and he took it apart and said yup they were verey badly scored and the tolerance was way to big on them.

I new that motor sucked. So many people said he was a scammer before hand and this just proves it. Hmm I have aftermarket parts just like a lot of other people here and mine and I'm sure theres don't make noise. What a lame and dumb *** excuss for a fucked up motor.

sure enough, he got a bad motor. we were tuning it today and indeed he had noises most consistent with piston slap. Usually not an issue although in the long run, the motor wears faster for sure.

Then, boosting only 9psi with good tuning, he loses compression in at least one cylinder and started smoking oil out the breather and exhaust.

Likely this person sold the block because he knew somthing was wrong. Hopefully this man gets his money back.
