Default JDM EK fenders?

soemone just destroyed my passenger side fender on my 99-00 front end and i want fenders with sidemarkers. i can get the 99-00 ctr fenders of password for 179.00 with sidemarkers or stock fenders for 100.00. my question: is there a difference in the jdm fenders for the sidemarker, like is the fender reccessed in for the sidemarker? or if i buy usdm fenders and jdm sidemarkers and drill a spot for them will it be the same? also i know that the jdm fender will have the thin side molding. so any help would be cool and i have searched.
thanks

why dont you get the jdm if you want sidemarker? so you can save the hassle of looking for and installing a sidemarker..

Yeung's got a point, but so do you diggity. it would make for a complete oem placement, cost about 40 bucks more than pieceing it together and i could also claim JDM FENDERS YO!!!, instead of saying jdm sidemarkers. so usdm fenders 100.00+40.00 or 179.00 for jdm.
help me with a decision people, what would sound better if i want a badass show quality car? lastly, what would really convince me to get the jdm's for bling reasons is if the jdm fenders have markings anywhere showing they are actually honda japan, do they?
thanks guys

Save your money. There are a myriad of reasons why you shouldn't, here is a few.

1) If you plan on any daily driving, they are going to get dinged and you will be all bummed that your super "special" JDM fenders got dented by a USDM shopping cart.

2) If you really want sidemarkers, install them yourself. You will save some cash along with gaining a sense of actually doing some sort of your own work.

3) I've never seen a set of JDM fenders, but I would have a strong feeling that the difference is negligible and therefore would not justify the outrageous cost. Who cares if they are from Japan?

Overall, if your current fenders really need to be replaced, don't get duped into buying "JDM fenders" that are in essence exactly the same as normal replacement parts.

they are not too outrageous though, thats what i am saying. it is a daily driver, but soon it will be a weekend driver and not a ******* hot day driver. also i do want to start getting in the HIN and SCS circuit and get out there. i do appreciate your lenghty opinion and actual thought into your reasons, but anyone else?
thanks again guys
ps- got 100 posts!

well actually the white on the CTR ones are gonna be Championship white and you have either frost or taffetta white. If you are a perfectionist you'll notice that the colors don't match up.

ok, so say you shell out the stupid amount of money for a USED jdm fender. They arrive..."oh ****, ones white, and ones yellow!"
Now you gotta paint them to match. Thats at least $150, by any 1/2way decent paint shop.
Granted, you'd have to do that w/ brand new usdm fenders too, but youre also paying that extra $40 for the USED sidemarkers. You can buy new sidemarkers for that price...

Oh, and you can get matching used fenders here for like $70 a pair, used sidemarkers for $30. $100 and a set of nips and youve got "jdm y0" Who's going to tell you differently?

if you got the JDM fenders you would KNOW that the sidemarkers were in the 100% right place. and installing jdm sidemarkers isnt just drilling 1 hole, you will be dremeling a hole almost the size of the sidemarker itself.

just my .02

Yeah... ajjohnsonnc1 has a point. Listen to him. People who own JDM fenders know that the JDM sidemarkers are a cinch to install and snap in. Buying a U.S. fender you are going to have to dremel a huge feaking hole and if you screw up you'll gonna have to do it all over again and buy another fender.

Plus you need to get the fenders painted anyhow regardless of color...

most CF fenders are about $400-$500 though even on e-bay! plus paint and they might just be fiberglass fenders with a CF skin that you will be painting over ! Can anyone varify this?

CTR fenders aren't quite the same as the USDM ones. There is a small indentation in the fender around the sidemarkers. If I were you I would just go with the JDM fenders.

For a precise location, JDM is your choice.

thanks guys for all the help and quick responses. first of all, yes im going to get them painted and all body work done anyways, so color doesnt matter. 96EX, thats what i thought i have seen aswell, with the fender reccessed alittle so the sidemarker sits more flush and looks smoother. i am going to call passwordjdm today and get the final answer.also yes i have thought about the CF fenders, but seibon wants 700 bucks, so F that. again thanks guys
