the blue lagoon is no more! lotsa pics(56K????)

last night at the track.
mis-shift @ 2nd gear. was all good. next run, run a 13.5 (decent run), run after that, motor goes.

connecting rod goes through block, hits radiator, hits hood falls on track. this was around 4500RPM BTW.

Eagle H rods, ARP bolts. looks like bolt failure

luckily the head is fine

Expensive damage.

How did you set the rod bolt tension? Stretch or torque?
