Where to set VTEC for Toda A cams in GS-R
Before you guys
, I know that there's no real way to tell where VTEC should be set without dyno tuning. This is just for a chip I'm going to run in the meantime. Anyway, I've got Toda A cams, ITR valvetrain, and Intake/Exhaust in my GS-R. I was running a PYR programmed ECU that had VTEC and the butterflies at 5700, but I could feel a little kick when VTEC switched, and I've read that this means that VTEC is set too high. Where would be a good place to set it? At stock (4400), I can feel a dip in torque when VTEC is activated. I was thinking somewhere in between like 5300 would be good. Thanks for any input.
