Default NASA-VA @ Shenendoah in May is CANCELLED

It's not on their site yet but it will be as soon as Jim updates it. I posted in the other Shenendoah thread but wasn't sure how many people would look in there.

May 21, 22, 23 EVENT CANCELLED. On March 22, 2004, NASA-VA was notified by Summit Point Raceway that the Shenandoah Circuit will not be completed by the May 22 event. Full refunds will be processed. Registration will begin ASAP for the July event at Summit Point and the VIR event in early August.

Sweet! One less trip to Summit!

I was still going to make the trip to help the teammate, but oh well...

If I had a forum name for ITRCA I'd ask but I don't so I can't. Anyone care to volunteer?

If this is the fault of someone being lazy at Summit, I volunteer a swift kick in the nuts to said lazy individual, even though now I don't have the temptation of spending another $300 I don't have.

I still say that over 2 years to complete that extremely simple job is outrageous. I hope BSR is in some sort of litigation over this.

I'm sure a lot had to do with delays due to neighborly concerns.

I think someone's telling me not to take the instructor's clinic...

1/2 day late getting the car running for VIR and Summit is cancelled.

the project was tied up in the courts for a long time after it had been approved by the county planning board. I lost track of how many times I heard Mr. Scott say they'd had the "final" hearing

bad weather played a part too.

if they had started when they originally planned and built during the drought of '02 rather than the floods of '03 it would have been a different story I'm sure

That's too bad. Hope for it to be fully ready for the September event.

For a make-up date, going to VIR a second time would be nice.

i knew this would happen. someone even made a post saying someone should try to move itr expo cause the track would not be done. but since slummit officials said the track would be done, everyone followed like sheep.

Remember that Summit had events scheduled for this time last year. The fact that they're willing to schedule an event is certainly a sign of good faith.

It should have been known, and probably was, that any event scheduled for a yet to be completed track was at risk of not happening.

but by the time that post was made, it would've been difficult either way to reschedule (think about when the post was made).

what do i know. i wanted itr expo to be held at mid ohio.

You're not the only one!
But what do I know, ... either! LOL!

Word should be out on the Expo situation in a few days from Mr. Trey Commander when he gets the most recent update from Mr. Bill Scott.
