Default DIY/ How To : relocating you deck to lower din in a ek

first the tools that you gonna need are:
1-phillips head screw driver

first you going to remove your deck from the upper din

ok know thats done, know you going to take out your armrest, there two screws towards the from of the armrest.once the screws are out just pull back and then slide it over the ebrake..

know your going to remove the lower din/cup holder cover. there a total of 4 screws ,two on each side.. once the screws are out your going to take you sift *** off.. after all of this is off pull the plast piece out ..

ok know you have access to the cupholders/lower din.. there four screws that hold it in place..once you take the screws out the pocket/cupholders should be free...

ok know there should be 4 screws connecting you pocket to the lower din, or in my case they were holding onto a factory honda tape deck.. unscrew the 4 screws then put the tray to the side... now take you deck and with out the cage(the little metal thingy that goes around the deck)slide your deck into place.. know if you turn the lower din to the side with the deck inside you'll notice that the screw holes that were holding your pocket in there should line up with your deck.. take the screws that you took of from the pocket and use them to hold your deck in...

know pull you harness down from the top to the bottom , then connect everything and, assemble in reverse

then to cover the upper din , you can a- put you stock deck, or b- use a piece of abs plastic to cover it...

ok its not the greatest write up but you get the idea.....

Good writeup. I've done this, I leave my stock head unit in not hooked up as a decoy.

I've thought about taking out my deck and locating it down there and putting my VAFC where my deck is. only thing is my VAFC hasnt come in yet (been on back-oder for almost a month (summit-racing)) so i dont know if it'll fit.
o well, nice right up
