H22a Swap from an H23
Whats up just have a normal question, I am taking out a blown up h23 motor out of my lude and want to put a h22a into it...besides running the Vtec wires is there anything else that would not be transferable between the two...such as motor mounts, shift cables, sensors etc.?
One more thing... would it be worth taking out the factory butterflies and running a p30 ecu? If so how hard is the process? Thanks

my name is will i live in south carolina.i just swaped the 153k h23 out of my 92 si lude with a 42k jdm h22a front clip.i took out everything out of the clip and put it to mine. i also used the stock wiring harness.u can run the vtec wires seperate through wires to the vtec ecu.let someone do it that knows what they are doing.alot of things were alittle different from my h23 and h22.

why would the fuel rail, distributor and all that matter if you have a full swap or long block. The distributor would the only thing cause the jdm distributor has an internal coil and usdm one uses an external coil. Other than that, no differences. The crank pulley, which is actually called a harmonic balancer, would already be on the motor, no need to swap them. If you get a short block or try to piece an h23 together, then worry about that stuff!

DUDE!...if he's talking about doing a h23a1 swap to a JDM h22a swap, YEAH, you need to do something about these things. the JDM h22a crank pulley is 5 threaded VS the alternator h23a1 4 threaded alternator pulley. you can just reuse your 4 threaded belt like I did. on the fuel rail, the fuel line comes in from the opposite side on JDM preludes VS USDM preludes. that's why you reuse your old h23a1 fuel rail or you can make a custom line for the fuel rail. and yes, just reuse the h23a1 dizzy and coil if you don't want to re-wire the internal coil JDM h22a distributor. I've done this swap on my own car so I'm positive on what you need to have done.
