Default what offset?

I am getting ready to get some new shoes for the Hatch, and i want to know what the biggest offset people are running with no rubbing.

I have a 99 hatch with a five lug swap. i plan on getting a set off ADVAN RG's and I want to know what the optimal offset is. I am thinking of going with 16x7.5 up front and maybe 16x8 out back. Anyone running a similar set up? Any offset info or comparisons will help.

Also i have adjustable coil overs so ride height shouldn't be an issue.

I don't think you're going to be able to run 7.5s or 8s on the Civic. Sorry, my buddy Rodney has a wide front end on his and only runs 8s.

You don't think I could run 16x7.5 in the front?

What would you suggest?

7 inches at the widest.

EDIT: I don't know what offset. Somewhere between 38-42?

38 or higher offset. I use a 40 and it fits nicely with 7" wide wheels.

Is this for racing purposes? I don't understand why you'd need uber amounts of rear grip and a giant rear sway for street use

If it's truly for LEGAL racing, ask in the RR/AutoX Forum.

Make a new post, include your racing class so they know you're for real. We get too many street racers that just don't have a clue in there.
