code 4 with dohc zc i ran the wires like 3 times still code 4
code 4 = CPS
i don't understand what you mean by "ran the wires"
But check all connections from and to ecu and CPS
then measure voltage to cps, start the car and measure signal from cps...
Could be bad sensor or connections...

In most cases CODE 4 is the Crank Angle/Position Sensor-which is buried in the distributor housing and not available by itself. TD-02U distributors are also known to have this specific failure. Look inside the cap and on the modules for reddish bearing dust-that is your clue. If all of the wiring for the car is correct then this is likely the problem. (Need a TD-02U-I have one).

incorrect camshaft timing will also cause code 4 - most likely distributor

4 is map. its mechanical not eletrical. check hoses intake manifold gasket and head. 3 is map eletrical 4 is mechANICAL i think
your code 4 is because your cam angle sensor is bad. the person I work with at my friends shop has a dohc zc in his 4door and it was throwing code 4 all day everyday. So i suggested to check the cam angle sensor. Well I was right it was bad. you need to change the cam angle sensor. Its not that much money and very easy to do. 20 min 30 tops.
no its crank angle sensor...its not cam...helms manual has already been posted...he needs to check his wiring with the diagaram i posted first...

Man dont get all worked up act like the member you are, dedicated and experienced......cough cough mature....
Id still go back at your wiring, its easy to mess up the wiring for the distributor since the wires look similiar in color look to make sure you didnt hook the wrong one up due to faded colors.....lol sounds dumb but it happens more then you think.
