Hey i heard i need to replace the distributer sub assembly. What exactly is this. The part that bolts to the head that the dist. cap is screwed onto? How much do these cost. Anyone have one for a 98 gsr. Or is there anyway to troubleshoot this code. I recently had my rotor and cap changed. would this be affecting it? what else should i look for, timing?

It's teh cam angle sensor in the dizzy that needs to be replaced; that is of course if you have confirmed that the timing is on. HTH

 

#4 in the pic is the sub-assembly/housing. Its ~$240 from most online places. You will have to swap over parts 3, 5, 7, and 10 from your old dizzy.

 

so i pretty much need to change my hole distributor. Atleast get a hole new part were all the wires come out. Correct??

no wiring work. what wires should i look for if there wasanything wrong with them? Coming from the dist.?

 

anyone know. I did recently clean my engine bay, and also moved some wires to have less clutter. What should i look for??

As I suggested in your other thread, you need a timing light. Also look at my sig for additional help in troubleshooting.

 

I am currently having this problem and I did wiring. All I did was soder the Blu & Blk/Yel wire on the dist. Could that be the problem? I also changed cam gears and changed the t-belt.
