$5600. I will buy a hatch with it. the leftover will be my engine. what to do?
i have 5600. im gonna buy a dirt cheap hatch.
that'll leave a decen ammount for engine work. what should i do?
b16 turbo?
ls turbo?
gsr + cams and bolts ons?
d-series turbo?
i can't decide what will give me the most power.
i want it to be reliable, but i want it to be as fast as humanly possible

with 5600 i would say your only choice is a d-series turbo. you jut dont have the money for a dohc turbo
2800-car(pretty cheap)
800 -d15b motor
2000-turbo
that is what i would do

find a shell or civic with a blown motor for 1500 or less.
swap a d15 vtec in there for ~700
turbo for ~2000
spend the rest on some nice suspention and the brakes you'll need to stop the beast.

I would get a car for 1500 with a blown motor. Buy a LS swap 1500, Do the swap and learn to drive the power. Then peace together a Tubo kit. I have buuilt a turbo kit for a 100 dollars with DSM parts.

i'd got for a z6 or y8 swap over the d15, but other than that. turbo sohc sounds like a good plan.

not worth it IMO if you are going turbo, not on his budget

Buy a cheap hatch and put a GSR in it. Won't be as fast as the SOHC Turbo but it's a good platform to start with.

cheaper, so it fits into your price range better. and still packs a punch.
talk to the turbo d15b guys, they love it.

the d16 sohc v-tec is just better imo. will put out better numbers considering everything else equal and price is about the same or a tad more.
