Default iacv problem

ok, so my mini-me has been up and running for a good 2 months now, and the other night, i was finally putting the ecu back behind the kick panel and when i start up my car, my iacv is now messed up. when i lightly get on the throttle, the revs start bouncing at ~1700 rpm, and when driving, the engine gets violent at very small throttle openings.

i went back through and checked all the wiring and it seems fine (i thought something may have come loose when i rearranged the ecu), and i pulled the iacv, and the screen is clear. i'm now totally lost as to what to do.

any ideas?

i had the same prob a while backwith my v-afc and that what i believe crappy venom 400 or 300... iacv crapped out, sprayed carb cleaner down it... whatever.. worked fine for a day or so... then happened again, had a CEL.. i believe it was 14.... was so damn long ago( in my 00 si, in 00) that i dont remember... i do remember it hunting for an idle at, well idle and at around 8% the car would jerk and also when i got off the pedal it would bounce back, what i did when i had a headache or just didnt feel like feeling that, throw the bitch in N and shut the car off.. NOT TOTALLY, i like still having some play in the wheel... aka dont lock the wheel, then turn the bitch back on.. not so great for the car, but got rid of my annoyance quicker

it's throwing a code 14.... i guess i'll go to autozone or somewhere and get some carb cleaner.

it's just odd because the only thing i did to "cause" this was to move my ecu... but i can't seem to track down any wiring issues....

up for a new day...

do you think i should go through and run new wires from the IACV to the ECU (seeing as how it's a mini-me, i've already done some hacking to the iacv wiring...)

i ended up fixing it today by running two new wires from the iacv to the ecu... i guess there was a short somewhere.

but now i think i have a vacuum leak somewhere as the idle is fairly high, and doesnt like to come down.

you got almost the same problem as me

I just finished putting in

D16z6 Head
And a Yankee 8 (D16y8) block

I know my z6 head and everything connected to it was gooas I used it on my old motor, but now the car when first started idles at like 1800rpms even with the throttle cable all the way lose, and once it reaches normal operating temperatures it just shuts off automatically . . . . weird huh.

I was getting a CEL 14 for a little bit then I un plugged the battery, and un plugged just about ever sensor connected to the motor and put it back on. The problem is still there, but the CEL light is gone.

Any suggestions?

make sure the IACV is wired correctly, and that you have no vacuum leaks
