Nah, i ran at the last HT event without a muffler. According to the etown officials and rulebook (which i inquired about) a turbo counts as a muffler.

Rules are more stringent in regard to noise levels now a days. Any and all events that are schedule for a Saturday at Raceway Park will require a full exhust system. This is mandate by the state and city. This does not apply to the pro classes at our three Sport Compact/Import National events.

Re: ||...:::2nd Annual Englishtown Honda Day ~ March 27th:::...|| (quickda6)
I dont want to turn this thread into a war. This is more of a personall opinion / discussion. I have built many turbo cars and a few nos cars. If you are racing 1/4 on the street, I am beginning to see the benefits of a nos car over a boosted car. Once on the track slick for slick a turbo car will post the et and the mph that a nos car only dreampt of.
EVIL (who loves NOS/TURBO/SC/CAMS is not biast, just stating an opinion from a tuner's persepcitive.)

Very true EVIL...On the street its hard to beat a big shot, it gets to the ground easier then boost. Not to mention most street races end around a 1000ft...No wars here, just love to stir the pot
