Default back from the 1/8 mile track

well i finally got around to rebuilding my tranny a couple weeks ago so i could hit the track with my fairly new engine. it is an 1/8th mile track. BFG old school DOT radials 205/50/15 on stock 94 lude rims. track elevation around 700ft.

60ft: 2.165
et: 8.786
mph: 83.072

street tires, whoo..hooo
now i need to try slicks

when my car was I/H/E and all the other mods in my garage listing i ran a 9.29 at 76.5 mph at the same track on the same tires. i also am about 100 lbs lighter now also.

passenger seat was left in the car.

Nice times, but that was on BFG drag rads? You should be able to hit 1.9s with those or maybe a 1.8. Did you warm em up before you launched? What does that 1/8th mile time translate to in 1320?

That's pretty damn good Can't wait to see what she does on slicks. What PSI were the tires?

i dont think so. most people with slicks hit 1.9, 1.8 60 foots. yes i do a good burn out with them. they are the old style bfg's designed for rear drive cars. bought them about 3 years ago. they are NOT slicks. i am still spinning pretty bad. and i spin a good bit when i shift into 2nd gear.

to answer the 1/4 mile estimates. before i put this engine in my 1/8 mph was 75 to 76 mph on average and my 1/4 mile mph was 95-96 mph.

having said that that is a 20 mph difference in distances. so i am guessing in the 1/4 mile i should run about 103 mph. i am guessing probably mid 13's

thanks for the other compliments.

Nice job, the newer BFG drag radials are damn sticky. With those oyu oculd break into 1.9 and 1.8 60 fts. They say when you run them more until they are bald they become into sorta full blown slicks.
