how is a compression test done?
You get a compression gauge and unplug all the spart plugs. Screw in the compression gauge and turn the engine over about 5 times.
Don't be stupid like me. Unplug that fuse!
That's the simple version, but that's also a real good way to blow out your ignition coil and ignitor...

I just took out all the plugs and cranked over 5x for each cylinder. After I put everything back together, the car wouldn't start. No spark. When the coil charges up and has nowhere to discharge, you'll overheat the ignition coil and/or the ignition control module.

ya youll be pumping fuel into those explosion chambers.. also a compression test doesnt always tell you half the problems you could have.. a true test would be a leak down test.. if you have bad compression test youll know before you test..
is a leak down test similar? use the leak down test device but do you have to rotate the crank for each cylinder to tdc? the c speed site doesnt say to do that but i remember hearing that from past threads but not sure if they know what they are talking about
no you dont put anything at tdc; just unplug your dizzy, unplug your main relay(or disconnect injectors, fuel pump, etc.), hold the throttle open and crank 5-7 times.

Yes pull the fuse, I think it is 15A or 14A, you are supposed to
