Not my car (I wish), but posting it for a member in need of some help over at
ephatch.com. If this is disagreeable with the mods, please lock it.
On to the car:
2002 Civic SI with a JDM K20A INTEGRA TYPE R motor and tranny!
Car makes 220+hp with Limited slip differential 6 speed tranny. Vision Tecnica JDM Down Pipe(no cat) J's Racing Engine Dampner, CTR rear sway bar, E.S. Motor mount inserts, APEXi N1 Exhaust, Bronze "Spoon" Slipstreams, Eibach Sportlines, Aem Cold Air Intake, Rear Strut Bar. Motor only has 10k miles on it, was purchased from japanmotorimport.com
Car is in excellent condition. This car runs mid 13's all motor!!!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...29737

This is PoRT's car. He's a good guy, did a lot of R&D on the Si and is
in a bit of a spot. Car is nearing repo and he's got to sell it or it goes
bye bye. I *know* there has to be a buyer out there willing to fork out
the cash for a sick engine (probably 4K alone) and/or the whole car. Would
make a great project car, IMO.
If you have any questions, post them here and I'll try to relay them if need
be.
Thanks H-T!!!

No idea (although he mentioned 20K is the reserve on ephatch). I think he
just needs the payoff amount so he won't lose the car.
I'd suggest using the "email the seller" feature on eBay, but I'll let him know
of your interest. IM me your email address, please.

He really should part it out. 20K will be very difficult to get for that car. He could do an engine/exhaust swap + cash with someone with an Si or base RSX. Trade the wheels for someone's stock wheels + cash, and sell the rest of the stuff. It may be more work, but with modified cars, it's almost always better to part them out then to try and sell them outright.

You're right, but the car is in lock-up and he can't get to it (unless he pays up,
of course). It's an ugly situation, no doubt.

I think only the K24 needs minor adjustments to fit, the K20A/A2 will bolt right
into an ep chassis. Not a bad swap (13-14 sec instead of 15+ stock).

Since you prefaced with "not being a dick," I won't talk about how that is the
obvious solution.
The owner (soon to be previous?) of this car had a self-owned business which went
under in the past month or two. As such, he was not able to make payments any
longer and Honda came and got the car.
