CEL code 45 - System Too Lean or Too Rich, wtf..
Was driving around today and all of sudden I get a CEl - goto check it.. 45..
I just got done finishing dynoing and my a/f was fine - I have a CAI and an otherwise stock motor.
The most recent addition was CTR cams but they were installed 2 days ago while I was away and I been driving around just fine until now... one of my injectors bad??
BTW, I dyno'd at 154whp w/ just the CAI... still got a dyno to go w/ the CTR cams with no other mods so we'll see the bolt on WHP gain of them.. just gotta get tis fixed, halp!

i throw the same code too but Its cuz i'm running JG cams and I was told it would run rich. I got a msd set up and a fpr to lean it out a bit. After the MSD was done it stopped throwing the code, but every now and then it would still throw it for a day or 2.
try getting a FPR and lean it out a bit.

Find a shop with a scanner with enhanced sensor input and have a look at the short and long term fuel trims. You're probably maxxed or minned out on them.
Between the short and long term fuel trims, I think the ECU can subtract up to 44% and add up to 67% to run stoichiometrically for the cats.
Edit: That code is based only upon exceeding the long term fuel trim limits.

Call me stupid but I realized I was VERY low on gas - Basically, I woke up - drove to Acura for some parts, no CEL but I gave it some love a few times...
When I got back in the car after buying the parts, boom CEL..
I went to the gas station, got gas - took out the ECU fuse (reset computer) and wala, no code and haven't got it since..
Should I be worried that this will return?

It's only happened this once, right?
It's kind of a longshot, but it may be a compounded EVAP system issue. It may be that the EVAP system is dumping a lot of fuel vapor into the manifold under high vacuum conditions (which coincide with closed loop operation), and it's richening it up so much that the ECU could no longer correct for it. Then the next time you started the car, it popped the code.
I dunno, get it hooked up to a scanner.
