WTF....I got pulled over last night after i got off of work and the damn PO-PO gave me $140 dollars a head light because they were yellow...Thats bull ****, why the **** do they always **** with us??? I liked my yellow head lights damn it!!!

As far as I know, front facing lights are illegal only if blue or red colored (impersonating an officer). Take it to the judge with proof that your headlights are DOT legal ( I assume they are)

Wasn't there a Lexus that had yellow (not amber) marker lights on the front? And I'm pretty sure the old Infiniti SUV (QX4??, I think) has yellow fogs. Maybe there's some law bout what can be yellow and what can't, but just because they're forward facing isn't the problem.

 

Im saying that he should look at the ticket, if it says "impersonating officer" on it, he knows why. The box the lights come in should say whether or not they are street legal or for offroad use only. And the fact that they are foward facing is a big deal, lights facing any other direction on your car (besides rear, obviously) can be any color you want them to be. My Integra has yellow fogs that I keep on at all times with my headlights, so I cant imagine yellow being an illegal color. I think the cop was giving you a hard time. If I may ask....do you have a loud exhuast and or bodykit?

damn i got catz gold bulbs in mine....they are yellow as hell. i dont know if they are legal or illegal. all i know is i havn't been pulled over for them and cops have looked right into them before. now i dunno if im gonna leave them in or replace them with normal white bulbs.

Why not just take them out.. Go to court. Show them it's back to stock, they drop the charge.

just buy some DOT approved yellow bulbs and take the box to court and show em the box

Likewise, your yellow headlamps may not HURT anything, but it does bother other people. hence why it's illegal. There was obviously a sort of vote to make them illegal and your government representative voted for them to be illegal. Got a problem, send them a letter...

Yellow lights ARE LEGAL if dot approved, take it to a judge and he will write it off... and they will have to deal with it.
