HELP with TODA cam gears
Well i was installing my cam gears yesterday when i accidently dropped the cam key to my exhaust cam
I've used a magnetic pickup tool and everything to see if it was down next to the crank gear or next to the belt, but i nothing yet. Anyone ever been so clumsy like me, and found it, or should i just buy a new one.

if you are worried about adjusting the gears w/ out the tool, you can purchase something new to adjust them.
I purchased a socket w/ an allen end on it from Sears. It's either a 4mm or 5mm key...I didn't know which it was either so I bought them both...one of them works, I can't recall which.
I would definitely make sure that it's not in your engine...keep looking, that's an expensive mistake waiting to happen

What a friggin idiot dropping the key .................................................. ....................... So when I dropped mine about three years ago I had to remove the crank pulley, all of the covers .................. I couldn't find it anywhere in the tbelt area. Ends up it was sitting on the first plastic shelf just below the cam gear.
Good Luck, I feel for you

if you dropped it to where you KNOW for a fact it's not somewhere in the engine itself, but in the engine bay, if you have an air compressor blow air around where you think it might be and hopefully you'll see something or hear something move.
have to be 100% sure it's not somewhere inside the head

I finally finished the install...i ended up taking off the timing belt and everything, and found the cam key laying on the lower cover. thanks for the help from my friends to get everything done...
