Default Best Place for Alignment

I need to know the best place for the best price to get a 4 wheel alignment (preferabley computerized). Ive gone to a few places and they say they cant do lowered vehicles..

This one really nice shop offered me $60 (w/ 3 month warranty). I want at least a year warranty though.. This **** isnt cheap.

Well I run into this all the time...."we don't do lowered cars" I just called around and found one place in my area (of 100+ shops) just ONE WTF...anyway, 60 bucks is really good for an alignment, most places charge around 50-60 for a "regular" 4x4 honda.....I would say if they do lowered cars I would do it.

we have a place around here called butler tire, that is where i get my alignments, they charge $70 for lowered cars. they specialize in performance wheels, tires, and suspension, and also the bling bling. all the porsche people and the ballers bring their cars there. i went to kauffman for my last alignment cause i found a coupon they sent me in the mail but its still ended up being $80 even with the coupon cause i drive a lowered car, my camber kit doesn't correct my camber enough so the retards tried selling me a camber kit for $250 a side, plus $100 per side for installation, i laughed in the guys face and said i can do it myself for $150

If you are located in Southern California, (West End Alignment in Gardena). I just got back from there, from a troubled alignment problem that I got fixed finally!

Prices are grrrrreat!

they should be be at least laser guided(not missile tho'), i dont they you can get a spec sheet from those old *** rack

those computerized with laser/digital rack should have spec sheet.

if you paying the same amount for it, i would go to the compuerized one.

Let me show you my sheet

most all shops have computerized equipment. everyone should have a printer.
the only issue with lowered cars is getting them up the ramp. if you have a front spliter it is rough. you need to be real careful.
i would recommend you contact you're local sports car club or ask the porsche dealership or foreign car service place. go to the shops and ask to see there lifts.
2 post lifts usually are alright but for the most extremely low car. the 4 posts are the ones that are tricky to get up.
you can use cardboard on the front spliter so it will slide up the ramps. or take off the front bumper.

and computerized is not the best. just the most affordable and convenient.
$60 is peanuts. the porsche mechanic over here charges around $300 manual including corner balancing.

maybe at the gas station or something if you see a porsche, ferrari or sports car be friendly and ask where they get theirs done at ???
regards,
m.a.d.

U also need a camber kit to really make sure u get the right aligment. I went to the Goodyear place they done ok. For like 65$ but I had plenty more than that when I came out. They said tire rod ends went bad.

Um...you know we dont drive a Ferrari right? after all this is a honda forum.
if you have hard time gettin up the rack, use a freaken wooden board, still not high enough? use another one or take out the bumper like i did. big deal

btw, no DTM racing legend dreams here

Funny thing is that its only a 2" drop and they are all like "Thats too low." Well.. I dont have a camber kit yet on the cd5.. but I will.. I guess I will go for the $60 alignment, buy a camber kit, than use my 3month warranty for what its worth.

When I had my sprint springs it was 2.2" in front and like 2.0" in the back...it was damn low, a crushed pop can would drag lol....and I was only on 16's. They couldn't even get it on the lift to do the alignment and finally by an act of God they got it on, I guess there is some lift in the middle (pushes on your cross member) and they couldn't even raise that...they said sorry, but it was cool to watch them fumble needless to say I had to go somewhere else.

or just hit the road and wait for 360's to roll up at the pump

i think les schwab does, seeing as how they lower cars themselves. i'm gonna install my camber kit, then head over there for an alignment in the next couple weeks.
