Default H&R Race Springs or H&R Sport Springs?

I was wondering which would be better. i know the Race springs will drop it a little lower than the Sport springs. If i was going to get Tokico Illumina Adjustable Shocks down the road which one would be better. I have been looking at threads and site that say if i get the Race springs i would need sport-tuned dampers and special camber-adjusting components to keep your alignment in line. Is this true?

My H&R Sport springs dropped my Integra 3" with -2.5 camber in front. Do not get them.

either springs you'll need to have a camber kit...but i'm usin h r sports rite now on my integra....usin tokico hp...my friend have hr race and he is usin the same shocks....race and sport has a big differance in height of the car....race has a real slam look to it...sport....is just perfect for regular driving...lease then a 1inch wheel gap....if you usin stock size tires...but....it's up to you...race is much more stiffer then sport.....NO BODY ROLL...KILLER SPRINGS...FO AUTOX...sport is built for more street use...so there's a lil body roll in the ride....but i still like both..but if you have race on....watch where u goin!!

HR race...

i have HR sports right now and for the significant drop they give they are too soft IMO. the HR race should only drop a little more but are alot stiffer

check out my drop w/ H&R Sports:

And I can tell you from experience from my friend's Civic that Race springs on Tokico HP (blue) shocks is a horrible combination. Those springs wore out those shocks pretty quick, and ride quality was just terrible.

I know you've been saying this over and over again in every H&R Sport thread, but I have the same setup as you and my camber is -1.75 in the front right and left. 2 years on the setup.

I've ran the sport and race springs, cup kit, and now the coilovers from H&R. Here's my two cents....
Sport: softest spring they have, ran with KYB AGX. Did not like them that much because it left a lil too much of a gap. More of an every day driving type spring.
Race: Dropped TOO low for my liking, stiffer ride, ran with Illuminas. Cambered a bit but fixed most of the premature wear with an alignment.
Cup Kit: Stiff set up. Pracically running Koni yellows with a sport spring. Feels like running H&R's with Illuminas set on setting 4. big plus was the height adjustment. Dropped my car perfectly, also allows you to "rake" the height if you want that look. NOTE: USE FACTORY BUMP STOPS. DO NOT REMOVE THEM!
Coilovers: GREAT SETUP. Running it on my 4 dr GSR. Has a preload on the spring to decrease that nasty bounce you usually get. Stiff ride, yet bearable. Can SLAM the car or drop it nicely.

hey patrick isn't your rear on the lowest of the koni perches? so the h&r sports should be a little higher. I dont know but if thats a 3 inch drop i don't know how low mine is. Looks just about right to me with a little sagging.

Gotta say, I'm on H&R Sports with Koni Yellows, apart from wanting a little more Stiff a spring rate, I can't complain. My drop looks similar to Skunk2nr, not patrick94GSR. Also note: I'm on the "stock" perches...

Yes I put the back on the lowest setting because on the middle setting the back had more gap than the front and I didn't like it.

But still, look how low the front of my car is, that's on the TOP perch in front. And yes it is a 3" drop, going by a stock GS-R that I compared to, and also going by the measurements on the diagrams shown in the Helms manual.

i've got the h&r race with kyb-agx's, there alittle stiff, but with the setup and low pro's you've gotta expect that, i don't scrape on anything except a steep driveway but that can be avoided if you take it right. . . i truely have no complaints, i love em!

I have both H&R Race and Sport springs. The Race springs are on the car with Tokico Illuminas on settings 2/5 front and 3/5 rear. It rides awesome, firm but never bouncey.

My H&R Sport springs are sitting in a box in my room, I planned on running them with stock shocks since the spring rates are fairly low. I'd match them up with a Tokico HP or KYB AGX strut.

I have the same set up but my ride sucks , I am gonna change my setting to 2/5 in the front and 3/5 in rear and see what happens. Also when you look at my car you easily see the chamber issue and yours doesnt seem to have any..

springs i recommend, are not worth the money. The looks are good but you will feel a difference in the way your car handles.
