Default Civic Si 99 - installing ITR Rear control arms.

Anyone done this or heard of it done. I was told this was an option to be able to use ITR swaybars if subframe was reinforced. Any feed back would be cool.
Thanks,
tt

You cant do this on 96+ civics because the ITR -rear- LCA is a different length.

The ITR LCA will bolt in directly to a 92-95 civic though.

front LCA's will work on 92-00 civics I think.

Hold on there Tex (I've always wanted to say that!)

The ITR used different rear shocks altogether. You'll need to use the LCA from any Integra 94+ and a reinforcement kit. I use Beaks' Kit. It costs about $65 or so and will prevent the tear-out that you are aware of. I don't know where to get it though, as my friend handled all the contacts and purchases.

Did you do the Integra LCA upgrade to your 93 Civic DX? If so, is that technically STS legal? Did any 92-95 Civic come with those LCAs?

Allow me to clafify...

Integra arms or the Civic EX/Si arms will work... as long as they have the rear sway bar mounting holes. I just got a better price on the "Acura" parts because my friend works at one of their dealers. But there is no difference between the Civic part or the Integra part, thus keeping them legal. Besides, it is more common to associate the swap using all Integra parts.

Why do people go through all this hassle to try to get a part made for a Teg, to fit a civic. ITS NOT MADE FOR YOUR CAR! Just get a nice Comptech Sway/Tie Combo and you will be set,, it will end up be cheaper/better than going through all that hassle.

I think I'm in agreement with siisgood00. I have the Comptech bar, and it's amazing how well it fits. I haven't had a problem with it yet, whereas folks that have gone though the trouble of making an ITR bar work are constantly battling with endlinks, reinforcement plates, etc. The comptech bar works well enough to where I get on 3 wheels regularly during spirited cornering/braking. Buy the Comptech!

Humm, this kit doesn't say that it will work with my car. As of 96 I think it was the LCA's for the teg and civic are different lengths. I've been working with Racingworks and they say to just move the mount point out so the ITR LCA's will work but I cannot find anyone who has done this so I'm a little scared of moving them! Thanks for all your input.

And for those who want to know why EVERYBODY wants to use ITR parts on the cars I have no clue.. I am trying to so I can use the beefer control arm so it won't fold with full race Coilovers and the 25mm swaybay..... The class I am getting into is allowing the change.
