Default How to: accord front lip!!!!

I recently crashed my car so I've been at the junkyards looking for parts and ect.... And I happen to find a honda accord front bumper and lip off a 94-97 accord for $25. And I have a 90 si bumper. I heard you can make this lip work with a little bite of fabricating, but this lip isn't matching up in anyway. I know a few of you guys already did this so please chim in if you can help. Do I have the wrong bumper or do I have the wrong year lip?

Ive never done it myself but looks like you may need to cut a bit out of the middle section to make it fit

good luck

i'm not 100% sure, but i think it is from the wrong year...the accord lips that worked were earlier (86 ish) not 133% sure, but i think thats what i remember.

cut the middle inner part of the lip then screw it up, and cutthe right and left corners, i just put a custom front lip on mines and made it fit, just have to send the car to get all the blk moldings and lip painted.. ( have pics) a.i.m benn2k or benn2k@aol.com

Ok, cool but I think I have the wrong year lip, but I"m not sure though because it doesn't seem to want to match up very well. But you guys said to cut it so I guess that is what I"m going to do then.

SLOPOKE, where did you cut it in the middle. I can't even see it in the picture, it looks so damn clean I don't see any cut.

Ok, after looking at slowpokes pictures and how everything lines up I think I do have the wrong year lip. I believe I have the newer one from a 96-97. Because he didn't cut the middle of his to make it fit. And I don't want to do that because it will look like ***, so now I"m screwed

Ok, I just look up the part numbers on the 94-95 accord lip and its 113651. And for the 96-97 the part number is 113652. So I have the wrong year lip

Nice car man!
mugen eg lips fit better on jdm front bumpers because they are rounder, regular stock bumpers are squarer
How did your fit it so well??
