Will a Type R exhaust fit a 00si?
Actually, it should work. I had a gsr exhaust on my car for a while, and the only problem was that the tailpipe (tip) did not come completely out from under the bumper, but I just adjusted the tip to the very edge and it looked very clean.
(If you look at specs DC2 Integras are slightly shorter in length than EKs, I think its like only a few inches, so the exhaust doesn't have to come out as far in back to clear.) As for pipe diameter, I'm not sure, but I think the flanges from your cat, or header are same, should bolt up.

I hate to be another person in the ranks of people who say that but, you gotta search

Well, before I had an s2000 exhaust on my 96 hatch (d16y7) and I did notice a little gain from it but not as much as I feel with my spoon muffler, not cause its spoon, just cause its free flow
I have heard that the type-r exhaust is really good for somebody that wants a little gain over stock but mainly wants the quiet sound back or wants a sleeper look. But if your looking for some power, go for a rsr exhaust or some of those apexi or greddy exhausts that have the quiet options.

It will not fit like your stock Si muffler thats for sure, the tip placement is much different. As far as performance, just the muffler wont do much. Yeah do a search I know a bunch of guys that have put a type r muffler on.

On a 2000 Si? If anything, the tip won't exit under the bumper hole, meaning the tip will be too short (as someone already mentioned). You're probably thinking of a hatchback.
