My mom's 1998 CRV needs new brake pads. The ones on my ITR have a fair amount of meat left and I have another set of pads laying around (the ones I have laying around, she probably wouldn't like...squeal, squeal, squeal).

So the question is, are CRV and ITR brake pads swap-able (front and rear)?

 

Well the Hawk pads show same part # for both ITR and CRV fronts, but does not show an app for rear CRV pads.
Our 99 CRV had drums on the back, but it was an LX. Maybe the EX has 4 wheel disc?

 

Thanks. Just what I needed to know. I'm not sure if the rear are discs or drums (my mom lives 7 hours drive from me). She took the CRV to the dealership for an oil change and they told her she needs new brake pads.

Front brakes should be the same, in fact my R is relying on some cheap *** CRV discs for stopping power

Stealership wanted 1450 NOK a piece for OEM rotors, I found me a set of CRV rotors for 325 NOK a piece Combine this with a set of nice pads and some fresh fluid and I'm a happy man.

 

Front ITR rotors, pads and calipers are interchangable with front CRV same.
