YES it's difficult to make it fit like this. it took me a while to figure it out and it's quite nerve racking!

good luck!

Dustin:

I like the way you did yours. How did you run the wiring? Was it a clean install? I want to be able to hide as mich of the wiring as I can.

The install was entirely clean. It looked like it was meant to be there (I no longer have a V-AFC). I mounted it by modifying the Apex supplied bracket slightly with my dremel, and then drilling 3 holes in it and bolting it to the plastic cover over the rearview mirror bolts. I ran the wiring under the edge of the headboard and down the passenger a-pillar directly to the ECU. The wiring is perfect length.

It held strong, the bracket supplied by apexi is pretty sturdy, and it was BOLTED to the car.

Actually, as long as you are careful pulling down the visors they do not hit really. The only issue is if you want to flip the visor to the left to block the sun out the side window, and then all you have to do is pull the v-afc down about 1/4" since it pivots.

To post a picture friend, you need to upload it to certain webspace areas... then link it from there... You have the idea, but it has to ALREADY be on the inet. Good luck!

Hopefully this'll work:

I used velcro on the face of the ashtray and the back of the VAFC and then set it on the cup holder.

I have since connectd the bracket to the ashtray so that it doesn't slide around on the cup holder like before. And I can angle the VAFC so I can glance at it really quick.

Really?!

I use it all the time to record/playback using peak mode, as well as using the realtime rpms at the track.

Whoops, wrong forum

mine was exactly like yours. i used two pieces of plexiglass, one behind the unit, the other i cut and made 'shelving' inside the compartment. i was able to slide it in and out, and had a velcro strip to hold it when out..

worked great. kept it in normally, and theives cant see it. (so instead they took my whole car. )

usually this wont help if your car has stock internals. IF you add anything that requires more or less fuel/air, or the adjustment of VTEC, then get one of these. If youre getting some tuning done, either get a reprogrammed ecu or one of these.

I finally installed mine. I put it on the Autometer gauge bezel, and its in between my 2" voltmeter and water temp gauges. It kinda blocks my factory speedometer/tachometer a little bit, but it only blocks the lower numbers.... It looks real nice.
