Default DIY: LS Rim Painting..

I got bored, decided to get rid of the grey and spray a metallic wheel paint I saw at Cambodien Tire, I taped them up good trying not to get some overspray on my Toyo's yikesssss, but they turned out pretty good. I also put a couple layers of Wheel clear-coat, so I hope they last.. If not, there going flat black!

What do you think?

Rims on my car before..

after I painted them..

I dont have any on my car since its in storage, but this is my ride..

^ should be something like that only darker..

What I did easy and quick..

1. Cleaned off the wheels with soap and water, then made sure they were dry with a towel..

2. Got 2 cans of Wheel paint from Canadian Tire, and a single can of Primer..

3. Taped off the lip and the tire so I wouldnt hit it with overspray..

4. Put a single layer on each wheel with primer - did it twice, once every half hour..

5. Put a single layer of metallic wheel paint, let it dry for an hour, then another layer..

6. Went buckwild with the Wheel cleacoat, let that dry for an hour or two..

7. Peeled off the tape after a couple hours.. and thats it... simple as that, $5-10 bucks later and some new looking wheels..

They don't look bad but rather see them on your car, or a car in-fact
