Cusco Cage In 96 Coupe?
Does anyone know if Cusco makes a 6 point cage for the 96 civic coupe. I know that they make for the HB, but not sure if the HB application fits the coupe. So, with the cage, is it possible to have passengers sit in the back?
Thank in advance...

here is one in my 99 hatchback...
the hatchback cage should fit in a coupe. i've seen it before in a 99 civic SI. one problem though, is that if you have a sunroof, then you would have to bang the floor of your car to make the cage fit. the reason for doing so is because the sunroof causes the roofline to sit about an inch lower, and since cusco cages are so roof hugging, it won't clear.

what model do you have? if you have a ex or hx w/ a sunroof, then it wont fit. you'd have to cut and weld for it fit. if you got a dx then it will fit w/o any problems.

i have a HX withOUT sunroof. So i presume it will fit with no problems?
how about people sitting in the back? Is that still possible with my coupe?

im sure it is possible for passengers to sit in the back but it would be unsafe. prolly put some padding on it or something.

but anyways, i like how the cage curves around the dash.</TD></TR></TABLE>
it curves around the dash, but since the cage is made for LHD cars, you wont be able to use your glove box.

yea, the cage blocks the usage of the glove box by about 1.5 inches. i didn't want to give up the use of my glove box, so i hacked off a portion of it. it is a bit ghetto right now, but i will try to fix it up later on.

Re: (navin)
something about that cage just makes me cringe. don't know if it's the lack of padding or the lack of a harness bar. i just can't imagine that actually doing anything besides adding weight.

Or the lack of a diagonal bar in the main hoop. Sadly enough, cages like that are the norm in Japan.
