Digital Cameras?
I'm looking to purchase a new digital camera in the near future. Post up what camera you use and some pictures you have taken with it, and any recomendations you might have(i.e. what brand, megapizels, that stuff). Thanks!

I just got that camera. It's called the Canon EOS SLR Digital Rebel depending one which side of the river you're on.
I absolutely love it. Gone are the LCD Viewfinders on most prosumer level digital cameras. Instead it has the traditional viewfinder. Makes it that much more better to shoot with. That's all personal preference of course. It's packed with so many features. The only big drawback is the pricetag. But if you can afford it, I highly recommend it.
I almost forgot, here's the link. http://www.canoneos.com/digitalrebel/

I'm not quite sure which commercial that is, but there is a magazine advertisement with soccer fans all holding up the DRebel lighting up the stadium.

I'm used to shooting photos with my Nikon N80 35mm camera. I know a good bit about photography and I looked into getting a digital slr but I'm not too sure about all that money. If you could post some pics you have take with it that would be cool. thanks

I've used this past year:
Nikon Coolpix 3100
Olympus C-4000
and now using the Nikon Coolpix 4300
All 3 take great pics! I really like the 4300, but I will be returning it before the 90 days expire on the return policy. I don't like the fact that it will not accept normal AA batteries.

Canon powershot s400
Fits in the pocket easily, takes great pics. I know other cameras do the same, but this one is tiny. You can see the texture of the ink on a $20 bill.

Any of the Canon PowerShot Series Camera aare the ****. They offer the smallest 3 megapixel camera in the world and capable of shooting awesome full sound and motion videos along with AWESOME cam pics. Their whole series is under 500 bucks. I own the Powershot s230.

http://www.dpreview.com a different member showed me the light, I'll pass it on to you. Best place I've ever seen...pro's telling you how it is showing you shots that have been taken and then links to the best prices on the net.
If you have the money wait for F828 from sony, it will blow everything away with 8MP and it supports both memory stick and compactlflash card. I hate using just memory sticks because they are so damn slow. Canon is also a very user friendly camera.

We used a Cannon powershot s50 for my pictures.

Image quality is MUCH better at full res.
It has alot of features, manual control, and is small enough to fit in your pocket.
I think I'm going to buy one of my own as well.

Yeah, I have the S200 and it still takes great pics. Small & handy when going to the bars or clubs, but with all the pictures I take, I want to move onto the Canon G5, but it's still a little too expensive right now.... maybe after the 1st of the year, when electronics usually get cheaper....

I think it's about a grand though.
