...ok ecu blinks in intervals of 8=tdc position...how do i fix?
what model civic/crx (dx, si, hf, lx, ex, etc...)? what year? what motor? what ecu? obd0, obd1, obd2?
tdc is inside the distributor i believe. isn't CYP the one on the exhaust cam? whatever the case, check your wiring, and if it is a sensor inside the distributor, and you've verified your wiring is correct, then you'll need a new distributor from a ZC or an 88-89 Integra.
ive had the swap. a guy in my town helped me make the stock si distributor work on my car. (long story but it was a mistake doin it) ne ways. i bought the right dizzy and now the car wont startt. the only wires im in question about are the solid white wire and the white with red wire. i also have replaced the coil and the spark plug wires. im still not getting ne spark from my dizzy.
pissing me off. ..have ne insight as to what might be wrong with my car?

Yup the CPS is on the exhaust cam and the zc is one of the few freak motors that has it there. Usually they're built into the distributor. I thought the TDC sensor and the CYP sensor were the same thing, just by a different name (Ex. Ecu = Ecm).
As both names imply they monitor the position of the piston(s) so it knows where the engine is on its stroke.
Anyone else have input? I'm curious

Just for clarification, does this mean the car is working fine now or is the code still there?

if it was running properly, and you haven't changed any wiring, and now you're getting a TDC code then it's a problem with your distributor. get the proper one from an integra, scrap that Si one that shouldn't be on there anyway.
