you need a mouse and a computer to click on the search button at the top right hand corner of your screen. i found 5-pages on five lug conversions in the archive. hate to jump on the "search" bandwagon but it's there for a reason...

A 5 - Lug conversion will give better torque to the wheels!

Seriously, I mean, the ITR suspension is exactly the same with just one extra lug. I mean, the brakes and all are identical to the ls/gsrs.

It must be a JDM thing.

Right?

According to the people in this thread, it doesn't look like it.

Maybe they are just more JDM!

Yes, the brakes are larger! One of my friend's here on a rock has a complete CTR 5 lug swap if somebody is interested.

I love my 4 lugger and the brakes that are about be re-installed put ITR setups to shame with ease.

5 Lug conversion = $$$$

Definitely not worth it IMO......money is better spent elsewhere, unless of course you have more than you know what to do with, then by all means go for it.

You get larger brakes, and IMHO I think the JDM ITR 16s look the best on tegs.

I plan on doing the same thing for my milano GSR. Bigger brakes are nice to have as well

as far as doing it for looks:
doing it for larger front brakes:

I think the gun metal ITR rims would look dope on milano red.

Or you can get rota's like 98% of the people on this board

and, how can it be the JDM thing if he wants USDM gun metal ITR wheels?

Type R's suspension system (5 lug) gives a larger "foot print" or wider track compared to non-Type R models. Therefore, better handling.

I did the swap on my GSR. A very noticable braking difference! 5 lug=mo' better stopping and altogether stronger than 4 lug.

I think there is better way to spend money than a 5-lug conversion.

larger brake rotors, larger calipers, 5 lugs more secure than 4... great if you have the money to blow... but not worth it IMHO.

FINALLY!! after scrolling through replies into this thread, i found one person who shares very similar opinions according to mine.

A 5 lug conversion is not JDM. USDM japanese cars jave it; and speaking of JDM...this is getting out of hand. Its like you're either in the wagon or you're trolling off somewhere else.

a 5 lug equipped car just takes an extra effort to remove the 5th bolt...heh, but what do i know?

Maybe you read that and neglected to read FURTHER DOWN, when I said, I was being sarcastic. I know the answer, people were assuming wrong, and I was being sarcastic. Damn, some people are so quick to flame they flame the wrong person, and truely show their lack for reading skills.
