has anybody ever used a prelude 5 lug brake setup. not sure if it would fit but its a heavier car and probably would have better stoping power for a teg.

I say you do it if youd like, and no listen to these people in here who seem to hate the idea. Your car and your money, so do what you like.

Remember, to each his own. If you do what everyone else says, then YOU will end up riding the bandwagon. If you like it do it.

Just remember to search

No, we didn't.
I did.

Everyone else felt the need to give reasons why they like/dislike the 5 lug conversion.

I answered his question like 5 posts from the top.

i did a jdm 5-lug conversion on my friends LS and found some interesting stuff. first, in case you ever need to replace them, cr-v wheel bearings fit the knuckle perfectly. second, cr-v brake rotors are the exact same size. third, cr-v axles are 36mm, not 32mm like the LS. are we seeing a pattern here? I think honda is being cheap with the itr's and digging in their parts bin instead of making something different. One more thing, my friends conversion came with abs hookup on all but one knuckle, so i had to drill and tap the holes to accomodate the wheel speed sensor. just somehting to keep in mind. he put the gunmetal itr rims on his black LS and it looks SWEET!!!!

was it crv front axles or rear axles, and are they the same length, and do they fit in the transmission of the teg?

If you really had some money go with the 5 lug big brake kit and it wouldn't be JDM just major stopping power.

I can't even believe you guys are even questioning this. The itr 5 lugs are 10 times better than stock . Can you say 60 mph to 0 in 116 ft . The itr rotor is 1 inch larger and it uses a 4 piston caliper. Not to mention the 5 lugs adds stability and strength. aka porsche . Where else are you going to get that type of stopping power for 1K bucks front and rear.... If you don't believe me drive any type r with it or one that has been converted... I did and swore i'd never have a H car without it....
