Default Help with driver's side door switch...?

I did not know where to post this, so I thought I would start here.

What I did: A while back, my dumbass took my teg thru a carwash with my stereo on, needless to say, I broke of my antenna. So a couple of days back, I got a new one from a local guy (motor and everything). So I strip my car, put the new antenna in and I also put in a new amp. I did not have to run any wiring as it was there from before. Put the new amp in, put a 10 inch sub in (to hold me over during my upcoming trip. And I pulled the headunit out and reconnected my remote antenna wire. (I did not connect it because the sound of the antenna motor annoyed me and was useless since I had no antenna. Oh, and the 1 other thing I did was move my component set from the back to the front. I replaced all panelling and everything. Everything worked fine. No problems at all.

What happened: I have noticed now that it seems as though my car is constantly seeing my driver's side door as being shut. When I open it, the dome light does not go on, (if my headlight are on) it does not make that binging sound, (and if my keys are in the ignition) it does not make that chirping sound. The dome light, however, does come on when I open my passenger door, so I know it is the drivers side door that is having problems.

My questons: Do you think it has anything to do with the work that I did? What could have caused this to happen? Is there a fuse for this that I can check? And, if not a fuse, what else should I check?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

CJ

there is a little button type thing that is in teh door jamb. when the soor is shut, the button is pressed in and the dome light stays off. when the door is open, the button is fully extended out. it sounds like this button/switch assembly is in need of replacement.
as for the keys making the buzzing sound, couldnt tell you.

Same deal with the keys & the headlamp warning. They all use that switch in the doorjamb. Check out the switch, when the door is open the switch completes a circuit to ground. Sometimes that ground screw just gets rusty or loose or something. Maybe you disturbed it while running wires down under the carpet at the doorsill??
