Is the squeak coming from the inside of the passenger compartment or from outside, such as from the front of the car? If it's from the inside, a pin that acts on the pushrod to the clutch master cylinder tends to squeak when it wears. A good shot of white lithium grease usually takes care of it. If it's from the outside, the clutch fork is probably squeaking, in which case you may as well do a clutch job to get to it.
If your pedal pressure is increasing, it might be due to the seals in the master and slave cylinders becoming worn so they stick to the sides rather than slide smoothly within it. Try flushing your fluid.

Either the slave cylinder, fork, throwout bearing, or disc is going out.
A common problem is that a spring in the disc will start to pop out and will not let go of the clutch pressure plate, hence that causes the added pressure.
