96' Accord EX CEL question
Hi
How do you pull the code for a 96 Accord Coupe EX? I was looking for it under the glove box area where it was for my 94 Accord Ex.....but can't seem to find it. Then realized that the 96 Accord's has the OBD2 sensors....
Anyone know how to pull the code for the OBD2??.....
I looked thru the search engines and only found out how to pull codes for the OBD1 ....unless they are the same?.....enlighten me please...
My CEL just came on and I'm kinda worried driving it.....
Any help will be greatly appreciated......
Also if anyone know's how to check the code for the ABS light...that would be great too....that thing has been on for too long!!
Thanks in advance

its in the same place as the OBD1 car. its plugged into a blue holder and it isnt plugegd into anyhting else. 2 wire connection and pulling the code wiht the paper clip ordeal is the same
thats for the diagnosis connectors for the Honda dealerships to read wiht special computers. im talknig about the jumper way were you close the loop on the ECU and count the check engine by blinks. Its behind the glovebox just like the 94-95

Thanks for the tip.
I thought it would be different because of the OBD1 and the OBD2
I'll check it out tomorrow......

Hey...I was searching thru the mods and I found this post.....can anyone verify this info?....will it work like that?
I got this info from here:

You have to connect pins 8 and 13 on the data link connector under the drivers side dash. I tried to do an ASCII drawing of the diagram the 2 X's are the pins that you need to connect. After connecting these pins you need to turn the ignition to the on position without the engine running and watch the Check engine light and see how it flashes. Long Flashes are 10's places and short flashes are 1's places. I.E. 4 long flashes and 2 short flashes = the code 42. It will flash all engine codes that are in memory and then it will repeat them. Check them for accuracy and then come back on here and IM me on h-t or reply to this thread and I will look up the codes for you.

I just checked it out .....i got code 12 for the CEL and 32 for the ABS...
From searching the other mods...I believe 12 is the ERG and I looked up the code for the ABS and I think its the Front Left Pulsar....
I don't know how to go about it.
Any ideas?
Is this something I can fix on my own or am i going to have to dish out some money
Thanks in advance

12 is EGR valve, it doesnt open when told to open. Mine does this because i went OBDI for boost. You may want to take the EGR valve off and clean out all the carbon build up inside the ports. Do a search and youll find out how to clean it.
