See if ur maintaining fuel pressure when you give it gas via the fuel pressure guage. Like my FPR, it wouldn't stay tight and it wouldn't hold pressure so i had to get a new one.

BTW, what have you done to your ls/vtec to reach 200whp..?

it seems that my fuel pressure is the same at idle, ive reved it and such and still maintains its fuel pressure, but when i'm driving its a diffrent story.. theres no way i can see the gauge while i'm driving, so i do couple hard runs and pop the hood.. still maintains fuel pressure at 40psi. i think its something electrical because my car runs rich at cold start ups, then when it gets warm it runs lean =o( anybody else??

I had the same problem!! IMO You need to get a fuel pump. You def need a higer volume of fuel to flow if your using those injectors.

The only other thing I can think of is your using something like an autometer A/F gage. If this is the case, THEY SUCK!!! With all of the fuel upgrades you have there is no reason you should be leaning out. Set your timing to stock (15-16 degrees) IF the problem persists, tune with a wide band.

So what was the problem? Did cleaning out the injectors do it? Im having a similar problem and need to pass the smog check due to running lean.

well i recieved my injectors, installed them, ran it on 60psi of fuel pressure.. as the result.. same thing 2 extremly rich, one extremly lean and the other has a fine mixture.. i'll probably take a picture of my spark plugs so you guys can see what i'm talking about.. so its not dirty injectors as i thought it was.. i'm starting to think its an ecu problem.. i'm taking my car to a mechinic on thursday hopefully he can find the problem.. does anybody have any other suggestions or hopefully somebody reading this had a similar problem?? thanks in advance

My friends 3000gt was doing the same thing running rich at cold start and lean when he started driving andthe cause of his was a broke egr valve. I'm not sure if thats the same in your case but its worth a try. Peace

"This is what VTEC:honda2: sounds like!" God I love that quote

Help Me I need to be VTEC, anyone with a B16 or B18 Vtec head send me a price and maybe some pics

Um just to let you know. I went to honda for my problem. It was leaning out because of a bad tps.. So i had to get a new t/b cause just like the map you cant just get that sensor. Got a ITR one like i had. was 750..but got it for 460. I have a hookup at honda here...employee cost. Ill let you know how it runs after.

Does the plugs show leaner the farther you get from #4 . I had this problem and it was leaky injectors , or one was staying partial open causing #4-3 to show rich but #2 was normal and 1 lean as hell . I changed my Ecu at first thinking the same as you but the fix was a new set of injectors . Try taking the injectors and swapping them around .

I have had a leaning problem around 3000-3500 for the last yr. in my B17.
I have changed the O2,IAT,coolent temp,270cc RC injectors,Walbro 255lph, fuel filter,new dist., map,tps, whole t-body, Tried a stock ecu.
I had a VAFC tried adding fuel with it. Removed Vafc. bumped fuel to 60psi.
I have moved the problem to 3500 now.
I have a p61 ecu with Hondata with 4% extra fuel at 3000+.
My EGT used to read 1200' before. it will get up to 1400' .
This is a N/A motor with 10.5:1cr

i'm driving EG with b16b top, b16a bottom (ctr pistons) and e-manage.
i'm facing the same problem here since i put in the b16b top.

it happens when revving past 8000rpm on 2nd-4th gear (full throttle) - never tried 5th gear before,
the check engine will light up and the rev will cut instantly.
(my ecu does not have rev cut!)
if i continue driving with the check engine light on, the car will be running rich and a bit jerky but without power.
i have no idea what will happen if i were to rev it past 8000rpm again with the check engine light on.

also when non-stop driving (@ 4000rpm) for more than 30mins (low throttle),
my a/f meter will show lean mixture (maybe not 100% accurate but the loss in power is extremely obvious when it shows lean mixture)
tried retarding the ignition timing, still the same.
tried using colder plugs (ngk iritop 8) also didnt help either.
this problem has costed me 2 sets of iridium plugs!

i've changed to itr fuel pump and also changed another set of stock injectors,
even set the fuel to the max with e-manage.
i've also just changed my o2 sensor last year.
so i guess must be fuelling problem...

tps seems to be fine while monitoring from e-manage.
and what is EGR VALVE?

should i put in h22a injectors & 22a fuel regulator / h22a fuel pump?
i'm running on a tight budget here...
or just only install an adjustable fpr?
what pressure would be sufficient for adjustable fpr?

desperately need advice... thanks
