VTEC Engagement Point in '99 Accord EX I-4?
I had a light on my car that told me when vtec would engage. On my 94 ex it would engage any were from 2700 to like 3100. Or something like that. It changes depending on throttle position. The light was a light on a vtec controller. I just didnt hook the controller up just the light for the vtec engagment.

I use to think it was around 3800 rpms as well until I found out the truth when i got my Av6. For the 4banger it kicks in when u step on it, which could be at any RPM. Reason why i say i didnt find out til i got my AV6 was becuz that car has a switchover point and you can actually hear it. The Sohc V6 switches over at 3500rpm and i know cuz thats when it changes in sound from the intake. If you get a intake you will know when it switches. When my v6 was still stock i couldnt hear the switchover but afterwards i did. When it switches over it sounded just like my 4banger did when i romped on it9ehich is when vtec kicks in for the 4banger). Until 3500 on my rpm it sounds nothing like my 4banger intake. This is from a CAI. I couldnt hear a switchover in my 4banger like i did in my V6.
