E brake light stays on in dash?
Lately my e brake light has been staying on when I first drive my 98 LS. After a while it will shut off, what would cause this and how can I fix it?

Was gonna say the same thing. Beat me to it
But yeah, If your brakes are in need of replacement and the fluid is low, the light will go off.

Thanks AZ. The plugs looked hooked up, I think the pad are ok (only have 32000 miles on the car) but the fluid is like just below the half mark. I'll try filling it up tomorrow and see if that helps.

So unplug them. If the light continues to go on, then you know it has nothing to do with the cap. So you can look elsewhere.

EXACT same thing happened to me.
HOW TO FIX IT:
Open the hood and unscrew both brake fluid reservoirs. CAREFULLY clean the caps and around the top of the lids. Next, turn each cap/white plunger upside down and make sure its well lubricated with brake fluid. Carefully "dunk" each plunger in the brake fluid reservoirs before screwing them back into place.
FIXED.
