Oh really the smallest 6 rib belt will work (with in reason ) and what accord dx belt is it. i.e. crank to alternator crank to P.S.

Come on being specific helps sometimes.

just take a piece of string and measure where you have to have the belt run without the A/C pulley and take the string into the shop and say you need a belt this long.....when its in a circle....we did this with my friends Eclipse and Napa helped us out alot

You want specific eh....

get the in the car, turn it on, drive to autozone, look at their belts, find the shortest, 6rib belt you can find, , purchase it, put it on the car..

Do you want to know which wrenches to use?

Trust me, the distance is EXTREMELY short.. I got the shortest belt, and its still almost too long..

I guess I could be nice and look at the part number of the one that on my racecar now..

Of course no one cares now but when they're taking out their AC they will. Anyways. I attained an accurate measurment of the potential belt with no AC compressor on and it seems to be 37"-38" FOR A 5th GEN. Corey and Satan-SRV have said there's are 35-36" but they have a 4th gen. As for finding a replacement belt Autozone is the leading supplier.
Autozone carries Kelly Springfield belts and I got and 37" and 38" they most likely have a 36" as well. Oh and Yes they are 6 ribbed.

take the belts off... take a string and rap it like it was a belt... then mark the string.. measure the string... count the ribs that hte pulley needs... problem solved.

not true the f22a crank pulley is a different size.

RAB I said to get the Gates 360 belt aka 36". It's the same as 4th and 5th gen, same pullies.

i forgot how long mine was, didn't measure it. just took the length of string to the store and got a belt that was as close to that length as possible.

i'm sure i could even get a smaller belt on that you guys are talking about. but i just didn't want to get the belt too tight and not be able to adjust the tension on it. but it's a pretty decent fit if i say so.

Well the removal went rather smoothly BTW I used a 37" 6 ribbed belt the 36 would not budge even with the tensioner threaded competely OFF. No ill affects so far, the real test is if I have dead battery in a few days.
I removed the
AC compressor
condensor
condensor fan
dryer canister thingie
lines
and compressor mounting bracket.
