Honda Cancer... is this even curable?
death is inevitable... haha just kidding.
you migh be able to chop it off, and weld a new peice on ( not you, a professional)
or just completely replace the rear 1/4 panel

Man, you should see my ******* car. I got holes the size of baseballs in my pass door and my rear fenders are a ******* mess. I fixed the rear fenders easily by just cutting out the rust and pop rivetting in a new piece of metal and putting body filler ontop of that, sanding PERFECT
worked great and cost under 40 bucks. Ill hack the doors this week

Well considering I'm going all DIY on this beast, I'll be the one doing it. I'm cutting out portions of 1/4 panels (about 4 inches above the wheel well all around it) from a wrecked civic this weekend and the prolly welding them in at one point. My concern isnt the outside, its the hole in the fenderwell, don't know how I'm gonna fix that? sheet metal riveted in? It doesnt have to be immaculate, just no more rust
I want go and the body to look decent.

Next step would be, grinder and cutting out the rust... best tools to do this?

Drill a couple holes in the quarter panel so you can fit a sawzall into the notch. Commence the manliness.

You taking about on the old quater on the car or me cutting new(er) quaters over again?
I've come to the conclusion that the sawzall makes a mess on the quater, so im looking for another method, maybe something like a circular saw...I can't remember what it is, but its powered by an air compressor...

I just used plain old tin snips to cut the rust out of my rear quaters and sanded it to match perfectly. You may have a rough time welding that because of the curve.
Ever thought of pop riveting?
Ever thought of pop riveting?
Thought about it, but there's ALOT to be taken care of, plus I have a friend who welds who going to help me in that area. I know that there's going to be a good amount of filler involved so ya
Not looking for it to be perfect, just a nice daily driver

If you're referring to an air grinder/radial cutting wheel, that'll work great too. I've actually cut fenders with one before and it's loud as ****, but it worked well.
That's what I'm looking for
The Sawzall made a mess out of the donor car's quater so I don't want repeat it on this car.
