Thanks H-T!! My project hatch, 10 months ago till now. With story and pics (18 pics)
I thought I would post some pics of my on going project. First I would like to say that the car is dirty (It has been raining for the last 8 days here). I just wanted to post some pics before my car is put away for the winter
. History:
I bought the car when I went home on leave last xmas and shipped it over to Germany. (Where I am stationed) I found a motor for it (B18C6) about 3 weeks after I returned to Germany. I got a killer deal, the whole swap only had 20,000 km on it and I bought it for $3500 Euros (about $3800 dollars back then). The hardest part of working on a car in Germany, especailly a hybrid, is that parts take forever to get here and most companies do not like shipping to APO adderesses. I finally found some companies that did and start to go to work. The first thing was a paint job. I found a paint shop that did really good work and dropped my car off. This was the longest part I was waiting about 3 months for my car
. German's do very good body work but they take forever and since my hood was bent and the paint/body guy found 53 dents in my car that did not help either. After the paint was finally done the motor went it, it took longer then I expected (ran into some wiring issues) but finally the car was up and running. I have done a couple little mods nothing major but I could not be happier with my car.
I would like to thank all my freinds who have helped me in some form or fashion because without them this would not be possiable:
Colon, Mike, Kaream, Myles, Ramos and most importantly YOU GUY'S ON THIS SITE, YOU HAVE ALWAYS HELPED ME OUT WHEN I NEEDED IT.
Also the shops that have helped me out (with shipping to APO's)
