Default Tranny Problem?? Shift linkage??

Just installed a b18c1 into my 95 rs. Took it out for a test drive, when I shift into 5th gear, it slips out of fith and goes into nuetral. I can hold the shifter up in fifth, but as soon as I let go the shifter slips back into nuetral. I know the tranny is good, because it didnt do it in the car we took the motor/tranny out of. Is it possible maybe I hooked up the shift linkage wrong?

Check your motor mounts just to make sure everything is ok. I drove a civic once that kept popping out of 5th gear, we couldn't figure out what was wrong until we found that the rear motor mount was cracked...just a suggestion though.

yeah, just checked my gear oil, it was just about dry, allthough I think I may have fucked up my tranny before doing that. It doesnt want to go into any gears now, Im gonna go buy some oil before driving it anymore, and hopefully that takes care of the problem, otherwised i may need a new tranny
